Stockholm Sweden based SelfieJobs formed in May 2014 is now in private beta. The concept carries some resemblance to Jobr that had success when launched in June.
Still in pre-launch phase founder and serial entrepreneur Martin Tall reveals some features of the upcoming release;
" First of all we love the swipe and like regime by Tinder. Once we saw it last winter we started to think about different usage cases. With founders having a track from employment agencies as well as start-ups the idea to form a concept that simplifies the job market started to grow.
Looking at existing job search concepts from Monster et al we belive its far to complex and adds a layer of cost for signing up simple jobs says Martin Tall founder of SelfieJobs. Already we can say that some key functionality will include
-Video is at the core. It gives depth and personality to the CV
-Location is undervalued.” Dont look for a Starbuck job in the other part of town-kind of obvious but happens all the time”
-Algorithms for matching that takes time consuming typing away.
-Secret Sauce components that rocks the boat
"We Cant reveal to much prior to the launch but for sure we are on track to something great says Martin" We have pitched to clients, investors and end users parallel with the development and received a lot of feedback as well as likes”. First external investors to be announced coming month. We were amazed to be presented a multimillion dollar LOI by US investors even before the launch Martin Tall rounds up. A mix of Swedish angels and institutions is logic&likely being funded by the founders so far.
